Maintenance agreements that put a documented check before every winter and summer
Quoted agreements on 1, 3, 6 or 12 month terms, with a documented on-site evaluation and 10% off parts.
The systems that die in the first heat wave or cold snap
Heating and cooling equipment fails under load, and load arrives all at once. The first week above the thresholds your system was built for is when a tired capacitor, a dirty coil, a worn igniter or a restricted filter finally turns into a no-heat or no-cool call, and it is also the week the whole county is calling at the same time.
None of those parts fail overnight. They drift for months, and a technician with a set of gauges and a flashlight sees the drift long before you feel it. That is the whole argument for maintenance: the same fault found in April is a small repair on a calm schedule, and found in July it is a Saturday emergency.

Scheduling, a documented evaluation, recommendations without pressure
Richard Electric maintains residential and commercial heating and cooling systems, and every agreement is quoted to the system rather than priced off a flyer. You pick a term of 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year, and the office schedules the visits around you. Twice a year is the recommended frequency: heating before winter, cooling before summer.
On site, the technician carries out a documented evaluation of the system, so what was found and measured is written down and not left to memory. Anything that needs attention comes back to you as a recommendation, with no pressure to approve it on the spot. The team are licensed Carrier Enterprise technicians, Richard Electric has been a Carrier dealer since 1978, and the service covers all major brands.
Twelve to fifteen years, if somebody keeps looking
An HVAC system generally lasts 12 to 15 years, and regular maintenance is what gets it toward the long end of that range. Agreement customers also receive 10% off parts, so if something does turn up at a visit, the repair costs less than it would for a walk-in.
To ask about an agreement for a home, a shop or a building, call the office at (256) 600-0616, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, at the shop on AL Hwy 157 in Cullman. Licensed under AL HVAC 07061 and AL Refrigeration 50905.

Andrew, the technician, was top-notch… He didn't just fix the issue, he took the time to educate me on preventative maintenance.
He also explained their annual maintenance plan for only $125 a year.
