Heat, cool and power from one family shop in Cullman

Richard Electric started in 1949 selling and installing electrical work. Heating and cooling came when the family became Carrier dealers in 1978. Today one office on AL Hwy 157 sends technicians to homes, shops and plants across Cullman and the towns around it.

Every service below has its own page. Start with the season your problem belongs to.

Ducts like these are cut and formed in the company's own full-metal fabrication shop, then hung on the job.

Chapter one: Heat

Heating

A furnace that short-cycles, a heat pump that leans on its backup strips all night, a boiler that will not hold temperature. The technicians work on gas, electric and hydronic heat, and they size the ductwork to match.

  • Gas furnaces
  • Electric heat pumps
  • Gas boilers
  • Zone control ducts
  • Fabricated and installed ductwork

Chapter two: Cool

Cooling

Central air that cannot keep up in July, a frozen coil, a capacitor or contactor that quit on a Saturday. Emergency calls are taken, and the crew works on every make and model.

  • Central air repair
  • Central air installation
  • Ductless split systems
  • Ductwork fabrication and installation

Routine maintenance

Quoted agreements on 1, 3, 6 or 12 month terms; a documented check before every winter and summer, 10% off parts. Twice a year is what the shop recommends: heating before winter, cooling before summer.

All major brands, worked on by licensed Carrier Enterprise technicians

Richard Electric has been a Carrier dealer since 1978, and the team are licensed Carrier Enterprise sales, installation and repair technicians. That training covers the equipment in your attic or on your roof whatever name is on the nameplate.

Behind the trucks sits a full-metal fabrication shop and a well-stocked parts room, so a custom transition, a plenum or a run of duct is made in house and a common part is usually on the shelf. Extended warranties are available on new installations. Service calls are charged by service area, and the office will quote yours when you call.
